For many students, learning about technology starts with a lesson. But for the children of Mawacat Integrated School in Floridablanca, Pampanga, it recently became something they could see, touch and experience firsthand.

On 13 June 2026, hammerjack donated laptops and desktops to the school through a device handover ceremony, in collaboration with Happy Spoon, an organisation founded by hammerjack team member Von Carlo Crisostomo.

The initiative was created to support students in a remote school community where access to technology can be limited. By providing functional laptops and desktops, the goal was simple: help students gain hands-on experience with digital tools, build confidence using technology and open more opportunities for learning.

For Von, the collaboration was deeply meaningful. As the founder of Happy Spoon, he saw the initiative as a way to connect shared values with real community impact.

“Happy Spoon was able to serve as the bridge between hammerjack Philippines and Mawacat Integrated School, making this meaningful partnership possible.”

That bridge helped turn a simple act of giving into something more lasting. The donated devices will help students become more familiar with computers, explore digital learning activities and develop skills that are increasingly important in today’s world.

For many children, access to technology can shape how they learn, communicate and imagine what is possible for their future. It gives them the chance to experience digital tools not as something distant, but as something they can use, understand and grow with.

The handover ceremony was more than a donation. It was a reminder that meaningful impact often comes from meeting real needs with practical support.

Through this initiative, hammerjack team members helped bring technology closer to students who may not always have easy access to it. It also reflected what #MoreThanJustWork means in action, and our commitment as part of Pledge 1%: using 1% of our time to support communities beyond the workplace through meaningful, hands-on impact.

For the students of Mawacat Integrated School, these devices are more than equipment. They are tools for discovery, confidence and opportunity.

And for hammerjack, it was another reminder that when people come together with purpose, even a simple act of giving can create something that lasts.
