Our BAS Compliance Agents are responsible for ensuring adherence to building automation system (BAS) regulations and standards, conducting inspections, and coordinating corrective actions to maintain efficient and compliant building automation systems. They play a crucial role in safeguarding the functionality and energy efficiency of BAS installations across various industries.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a bookkeeper with experience in payroll management and BAS lodgment.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and legislation.
- Proficiency in using bookkeeping software and tools, preferably Xero.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a small finance team.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurate preparation, lodgment, and submission of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other taxation-related documents.
- Collaborating with finance colleagues to gather necessary financial information and documentation.
- Conducting thorough reviews of internal financial records, identifying discrepancies, and making necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to provide expert advice on GST, payroll, and other tax-related matters.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest taxation regulations and changes to ensure accurate reporting.
- Assisting with any internal audits or assessments related to taxation.
