The Business Analyst will play a critical role providing an interface between the client business, supported brands and Information Technology specialists to create meaningful documentation and implement planning for systems and processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide an interface between key business staff and the Information Technology specialist/3rd party provider/implementation partner
- Participate in discussions with SMEs and create user stories that clearly document the business requirement
- Working knowledge of testing concepts and practices.
- Provide support to internal and externals users.
- Involvement with applications that are configuration driven and have experience with estimating configuration effort, unit testing, troubleshooting issues and providing support
- Document and maintain system specifications, solution designs and other documentation using approved standards (including Jira and other knowledge base tools).
- Apply a standard approach to all tasks and activities based on procedures, policy guides or predefined methodologies proscribed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 – 5 years related experience, preferably within an insurance or financial services operation
- Studying toward or completed a tertiary qualification – diploma, certificate, degree in related discipline.
- Exposure to development and implementation practices in a modern systems environment together with exposure to working in a project team in an Waterfall/Agile hybrid environment
- Requirements, configuration, testing and documentation experience.
- Ability to work across concurrent projects of different scale and scope.
