Our Intermediate QA Testers are skilled quality assurance professionals who assess software applications to ensure their functionality, reliability, and performance. They execute test cases, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to improve software quality, contributing to the delivery of robust and user-friendly products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Test case preparation and execution
- Analyze and understand requirements/user stories
- Raise questions and clarify requirements as needed to ensure you and your team are clear on what you will be testing
- Create clear and easy to execute test plans/cases
- Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report on test results to required stakeholders in a timely manner
- Create regression test suites
- Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
- Ensure quality expectations are met while verifying and fixing defects with the Development and Product teams
Collaboration
- Participate in, and sometimes lead, Agile ceremonies (Grooming, Planning and Retrospectives) and provide test effort estimation
- Observe and identify opportunities to implement best practice testing processes, and work with the Department Heads to put them into practice
- Work with Department Heads to identify tools, technologies, and systems to assist in maturing QA methodologies
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements and ensure solutions are delivered within the release cycle
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields; relevant certifications or extensive knowledge of Test Management frameworks and methodologies
- 3-4 years’ relevant work experience
- Strong experience in developing test cases for both functional and nonfunctional requirements and executing them to ensure the product meets specifications
- Experience with QA automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium or similar
- Experience in managing defects including identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues à Experience working in a Scrum (or other Agile) environment, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, with excellent attention to detail
- Analytical thinker with excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills including the ability to support and manage multiple priorities
- Professional maturity, strong relationship building skills and flexible approach
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills with ability to manage stakeholders and influence business outcomes
