Our Payroll Officers are responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of employee salaries and benefits. They handle payroll-related tasks, including calculating wages, taxes, and deductions, while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Process employee payroll accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, legislation, regulations, and tax obligations.
- Maintain compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to obtain necessary payroll data.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in salary, benefits, and deductions.
- Review and reconcile payroll reports for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely and accurate payroll information.
- Manage and maintain confidentiality and data security of payroll information.
- Utilize payroll software and systems effectively and ensure their proper functioning.
- Coordinate with external vendors, such as payroll service providers or tax authorities.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, tax filings, and other required documentation.
- Assisting with Payroll Tax and Superannuation Lodgements
- Payroll systems configuration and maintenance of employee records
- Annualised Salary Reconciliations.
- Continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years in the same/similar role.
- Experience using Pronto and/or Tanda is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of wage calculations, deductions, benefits, and taxation.
- Award interpretation experience.
- Familiarity with auditing and reconciling payroll records.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills to interact with employees, colleagues and external stakeholders.
