Salesforce Consultants (ENR0006)

As a Salesforce Consultant you will be responsible for implementing Salesforce solutions under the guidance of senior team members, focusing on technical configuration and problem-solving to meet project requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Management

  • Support the translation of business requirements into well-architected technical solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and are aligned with client business objectives.
  • Assist in identifying areas for improvement between the client’s current Salesforce setup and their desired outcomes, supporting alignment through tailored solutions.
  • Support the definition, review and delivery of the technology solutions for clients.
  • Configure Salesforce features to support clients’ business requirements.
  • Contribute to configuration and build of Salesforce data models to help support business requirement.
  • Support the delivery of workshops to identify client needs leading to scoping project proposals.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to Sales in the development and review of proposals.
  • Deliver configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Relationship Management

  • Regularly update clients on progress, addressing any questions or concerns to maintain clear, proactive communication throughout the implementation process.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather feedback, ensuring solutions align with client expectations and support their overall business goals.
  • Work with the Client Success team to provide clients with continued guidance on system usage, troubleshooting, and updates as needed to maintain satisfaction and solution effectiveness.

Information Security

  • Understand basic security principles and follow company IS policies, including participation in mandatory security awareness training and regular acknowledgement of IS policy changes.
  • Manage and handle data securely, in accordance with company policies for data classification, protection and confidentiality.
  • Responsibly use secure credentials, ensuring the protection of sensitive data, and following organization access control protocols.
  • Report security incidents, breaches, or suspicious activities immediately, following established reporting procedures.
  • Adherence to all ISMS (Information Security Management System) protocols, including the use of secure systems, safeguarding assets, and avoiding unauthorised software installations or activities.
  • Ensure secure use of, and return of company assets, including laptops, mobile devices, and data, upon termination or role change.
  • Protect proprietary and client information and refrain from disclosing it outside authorised boundaries.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Attributes

  • Salesforce Expertise: Proficiency in declarative Salesforce tools (eg Flows, Validation Rules) to implement and modify solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse issues, research solutions, and resolve smaller-scale challenges independently.
  • Data Management: Familiarity with data import/export tools in Salesforce and understanding of data integrity practices.
  • Basic Integration Knowledge: Awareness of common Salesforce integrations, even if not directly responsible for building them.
  • Client Communication: Strong written and verbal communication to liaise with clients, understand their needs, and provide updates throughout the project and ticket/case lifecycle.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy and alignment with client requirements in all work, minimising errors/rework.
  • Plan and Organise: Ability to work autonomously, plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Open to learning new Salesforce features and processes as project requirements evolve.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a consulting role, working on Salesforce implementations across varied industries to tailor solutions to client requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle processes, ensuring alignment between project milestones, development tasks, and deployment stages.
  • Experience in managing project scope, meeting deadlines, and delivering on time while maintaining high quality and client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quickly learning new technologies and applying them to improve client outcomes and solution effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to deliver IT solutions successfully from conception to deployment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and workflows.

Knowledge

  • Salesforce Platform Fundamentals: Understanding of key Salesforce concepts, including the object model, standard vs. custom objects, and permissions.
  • Declarative Tools: Knowledge of Salesforce’s declarative development tools to implement business solutions without code.
  • Data Management: Understanding of Salesforce data import/export features and best practices for data hygiene, data mapping, and duplicate prevention.
  • Salesforce Best Practices: Familiarity with Salesforce implementation best practices, ensuring scalable, maintainable solutions that align with platform recommendations.
  • Troubleshooting Basics: Ability to assess issues, provide initial troubleshooting, and identify when to escalate to more senior consultants or developers.
  • Client Communication Techniques: Knowledge of effective communication strategies for managing client expectations and maintaining positive client relationships.
