Software Developers

Our Software Developer is a professional who designs and develops computer software. They work on all aspects of the software development life cycle, from gathering requirements to coding, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to improve existing products using VBA, C# and .Net.
  • Assist with electronic product queries from staff and clients.
  • Provide product training and knowledge-sharing sessions to staff and clients.
  • Research new technology relevant to the Division’s electronic products.
  • Conduct testing of electronic products.
  • Data analytics using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Develop new solutions using Microsoft Power Apps.

Performance Expectations

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a high standard of technical skill in developing new electronic products and carrying out updates.
  • Commitment towards completing tasks within expected timeframes agreed with clients and/or internal staff.
  • Ability to problem-solve and overcome issues independently.
  • Display required standard of written communication skills through work performed and everyday correspondence.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to improve speed and efficiency.

Required Skill Set and Attributes

The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Completed a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge in C#, Power Apps, Microsoft Excel, VBA and Microsoft Power BI / equivalent data analytics software.
  • Keen interest to innovate and develop their I.T. skill set.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • A self-starter with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships with staff and clients.
  • Strong time management skills.
