A Tax and Business Services Accountant is responsible for helping individuals and organizations file their taxes appropriately while following legal guidelines and obtaining the maximum possible tax return.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exposed to many different areas of compliance and advisory work
- Preparation of BAS and IAS
- Preparation of financial statements, preparation of tax returns (individual, partnership, company, trusts)
- Preparation of FBT returns
- Preparation of Tax planning and dealing directly with the likes of the ATO/ state revenue offices/ASIC
- Doing trial balances
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-4 years of recent, relevant experience in Public Practice (Accounting Firm) and ambition for your career development are preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Australian Taxation
- Knowledge in processing income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
- Studying towards CA or CPA qualifications is preferred but not required
- Experience in Xero accounting software
- Knowledge of XPM software products is an advantage but not necessary.
