Seeking an experienced Accountant/Team Lead Bookkeeper to oversee the accounting team. Responsibilities include managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- · Support the Client Manager and their bookkeeping team in the management and growth of the Client Manager’s portfolio.
- · Collaborate with the Client Manager to manage their client portfolio with tasks including but not limited to:
- o Onboard new clients.
- o Review and manage Compliance.
- Delegate and supervise junior staff members’ work.
- Provide training and mentoring to junior staff members.
- Provide ad hoc bookkeeping support.
- Work with Client Manager on ad hoc Bookkeeping Projects.
- Provide key support during month-end and year-end periods.
- Attend training and workshops to maintain technical and advisory knowledge.
Experience
- Must have strong experience and knowledge in the following AU bookkeeping tasks:
- Reconciliations of Bank Accounts
- Supplier Payments and Expenses
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Processing Payroll
- Compute provision for income tax
- Monthly Reports
- Preparation, Lodgement and review of BAS/IAS
- Accounts Receivable
- Prepayments and Accruals
- Liaise with the ATO for complex matters e.g. entering payment arrangements, and lodging tax objections.
- Strong Xero skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong oral and written communication with experience communicating with clients directly.
- Ability to draft a list of queries for the Client Manager’s attention or approval.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Prior Audit experience is desirable.
